Top-Up Degrees

Top up courses provide the opportunity for students that have completed a foundation degree to undertake one year of study to "top up" their qualifications to an Honours degree.

Certain top up courses may require you to complete a Bridging programme or to undertake a year long industry placement to ensure acceptance onto the course. Acceptance onto a top up course is dependent on successful completion of a foundation degree or HND and the number of places available.

Progression to a Bournemouth University Top-Up degree programme is subject to availability, dependent on successful completion of a Foundation degree and may be reliant on places being available on the programme. Certain programmes may require you to complete a 'bridging' assessment or you may be required to undertake a placement year in industry prior to continuing onto the final year of study.
